Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation and Performance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network engineering, automation, and performance monitoring tools. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, as well as monitoring and optimizing network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing:
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) and automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.)
  • Design and implement test cases to validate network functionality, performance, and security
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
• SNMP Protocol Testing:
  • Test SNMP configurations and data collection mechanisms to ensure accurate and timely data
  • Troubleshoot SNMP-related issues and optimize performance
• Network Testing:
  • Perform network performance testing (throughput, latency, jitter) using tools like iPerf, Wireshark, and others
  • Validate network configurations, protocols, and services
  • Conduct network troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Network Performance Monitoring:
  • Implement and maintain network performance monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix)
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify potential bottlenecks
  • Generate reports on network performance and capacity planning
• IBM Netcool:
  • Configure and manage IBM Netcool for fault, performance, and graph management
  • Create and customize alerts, notifications, and visualizations
  • Troubleshoot Netcool issues and optimize performance
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with network engineers, system administrators, and other team members
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and status updates

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering and automation
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP)
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl) and automation frameworks
• Proficiency in network performance testing tools (iPerf, Wireshark)
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix)
• Experience with IBM Netcool for fault, performance, and graph management
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based network environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Certification in network engineering or security
